Attendance Expectations
Attendance is expected, but not required. Showing up regularly to practice helps student-athletes develop as riders, gain the most from their participation on the team, and build relationships with their coaches and teammates. We understand that summers are busy for everyone!
We encourage students and coaches to indicate on TeamSnap whether they will be at practice or not. That helps us to prepare appropriate ride groups.
2024 PRE-SEASON DATES & EVENTS
Mon, April 29: New Athlete & Parent Mtg
6-7 pm, Rexburg City Council Offices (35 North 1st East, enter building on west/back side)
Mon, May 13 (NEW DATE): Bike Friend-zy & Skills Clinic
5:30-6:30 pm, Nature Park SE Pavilion. Come learn bike skills with the team. This is a great opportunity for returning athletes and families to reconnect after a long winter and for new people to see what the team is all about. Bring friends, bikes, helmets & signed waiver (unless you’ve already completed NICA Registration)!
Wed, May 15: Athlete Registrations due (Team & NICA) to qualify for promo code

Wed, May 15: Coach Registrations & Trainings due for coach shirt
All NEW coaches who complete their Level 1 registrations & trainings by midnight may order a free coach shirt. See registration page & expect 5-10 hours of online trainings.
Wed, May 15: Apparel Order Deadline
The Team Store will close at midnight. So, place your orders and use promo codes by then. Orders are expected to arrive late July or early August. Orders are expected to arrive in early July (hopefully in time for 4th of July parade). Team Store might open again in July but promo codes will not apply.

Wed, June 12: GRiT Fun Ride
3-6pm, meet at Adams Elementary. We’ll carpool to Harriman State Park for a fun bike ride. All female students, coaches, moms, sisters, and friends are invited. GRiT=Girls Riding Together!
Wed, June 19: Team Fun Ride
6-8pm, meet at Harriman State Park. Enjoy a fun ride with all registered coaches & athletes.
Wed, June 26: Team Service Project
5:30pm, Cowboy or Cranky Cowboy trail maintenance

2024 Regular Season
(July 1st through mid-October)
MONDAY Practices, 5:30-6:30pm
At a variety of Rexburg City Parks
CLINICS, after some Monday practices
At same location as that Monday’s practice. These cover topics such as nutrition, mental health, bicycle mechanics, race preparation
WEDNESDAY Practices, 6pm-dark (5:30pm-dark in the Fall)
On dirt road and singletrack trails near Rexburg (30-45min drive to most trailheads)

2024 RACES
Monday Aug 14 @ midnight is deadline to register for first race and also deadline to receive Season Pass discount by registering for all five races in Pitzone. Find details on Idahomtb.org.
2024 Fees & Expenses
REGISTRATION FEES (required)
$85 Biting Goats Team Fee
due May 15th with Team Registration
$230 NICA & IICL Fee
payable in Pitzone
Both these fees must be paid before participating in a second activity with Team or League. Those who complete by May 15th may use a promo code for $35 off Team Cycling Apparel
RACING FEES
(only required if racing)
$55 Team Race Jersey
Register by May 15th to use a promo code for $35 off Team Cycling Apparel
Race Fees vary
- $150 Season Pass for 9-12th grades
- $125 Season Pass for 6-8th grades
- OR $50/High School race (9-12th)
$45/Middle School race (6-8th)
OTHER EXPENSES
(as needed)
Equipment: bike, helmet, tubes, tools
Transportation: to/from practices & races is responsibility of student/parent
Custom Team Apparel: as desired (none required except race jersey IF racing)
Race Weekends: team arranges some shared meals for minimal cost and free camping is available
